-Nov 9: "Saudi Arabia's possible purchase of at least $2 billion of Russian military equipment has the potential to be the most significant Russian arms deal in the Middle East since the Soviet Union transferred SA-2s to Nasser's Egypt. By all indications, it seems that the two countries have reached an agreement for the arms transfer, after a two-year negotiation period. The deal may be part of a larger process that leads to a significant realignment in the external relations of both parties".Link and Link

-Nov 23: King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussain of Jordan took many by surprise when he issued a royal edict dissolving parliament. Right now, Jordan is bracing for the worst-case scenario: a deteriorating political, security and economic situation in the Palestinian territories, along with an Israeli military strike against Iran's nuclear facilities. This could lead, according to several estimates, to a full-fledged regional war. If this scenario occurs, Jordan would be caught in the middle of a conflict that would not serve its interests. This is one of the main reasons that could have led King Abdullah to dissolve parliament without fixing a date for new elections. The king might be seeking to rule unchallenged ahead of an anticipated major regional crisis. Link

On Sunday the Hajj will be over. It is still November. Javier Solana is still in control of WEU and EU Foreign Affairs until December 01. Is it just hours to an attack on Iran? Will Solana pull the "in an event of emergency"-option from §12 of WEU recommendation 666?

CERN:'Big Bang Machine' Bursts Back Into Action

"Out of this door might come something, or we might send something through it," said Sergio Bertolucci, who is Director for Research and Scientific Computing at CERN, briefing reporters including the Reg at CERN HQ in the second week of November.

More than a year after an explosion shut it down, the world's biggest and most expensive scientific experiment is set to restart today.

"Geneva, 20 November 2009. Particle beams are once again circulating in the world’s most powerful particle accelerator, CERN1’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC)....This is an important milestone on the road towards first physics at the LHC, expected in 2010.

“It’s great to see beam circulating in the LHC again,” said CERN Director General Rolf Heuer. “We’ve still got some way to go before physics can begin, but with this milestone we’re well on the way.”
“It’s been a herculean effort to get to where we are today,” said Myers."

Isn't it funny it starts at same time with the fresh appointments of the new EU leaders?

the green Ash tree

Baroness Cathrine Asthon of Upholland, the new EU Foreign Minister has previously worked for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and in 2006 was voted politician of the year and presented with the Stonewall Award for service to the Lesbian, Gay, Transsexual and Bisexual people (LINK). During her time as Director of Business in the Community, an initiative of the Green Prince Charles, Catherine Ashton worked together with companies and communities on creating effective business strategies. Her husband Peter Kellner is president of YouGov, an international online survey research company based in the UK. Peter was formerly an award-winning journalist and broadcaster for more than 30 years, writing political commentaries for The Times, Sunday Times, Independent, New Statesman, Observer and London Evening Standard, and analysing politics and elections for BBC TV's Newsnight and Channel Four News. He also writes for the EU magazine esharp.eu.

But I see again Viscount Etienne Davignon, the discreetly powerful BILDERBERG-figure in Brussells, who was so active behind making Herman Van Rompuy EU-President(see my article here), lurking behind her nomination: On October 9 Baroness Ashton was co-chairing a dinner with him at the FRIENDS OF EUROPE see here:LINK

Member of Friends of Europe is Javier Solana. (Link)

"what are the chancesthat by acting as a bloc the EU countries can exert a substantial Influence in shaping

the financial, monetary and trade rulebooks governing the global economy? Could the pressures of the economic crisis, coupled with those of climate change,

see Europeans taking a much greater leadership role on globalgovernance structures as well as redoubling their flagging lead on environmental issues?

Chairs:

Viscount Etienne Davignon, President of Friends of EuropeCatherine Ashton, EU Commissioner for Trade"

She is definitly a follower of the global agenda, as she proved before in her speeches as EU Trade commissioner: (see the whole text: here):
"...That said, I believe in the value of open trade and open markets. I believe that globalisation is a force for good..."
"I think there is a role for trade in helping us meet the Millennium development Goals and tackle climate change. The point is that trade and open markets are a means
to an end, never an end in themselves. We should not allow our trade policy to produce social or
environmental results here in Europe, or anywhere else, that are counter to our wider policy goals. The end of trade policy is not trade for trade's sake: is a more prosperous, stable and equitable world. I believe that the gradual building of an open global trading system based on shared rules is one of the great achievements of the twentieth century."

Refering to her name: Catherine means "pure"
and Ashton, coming from the "place of the Ash tree"/"ash tree town".

In Northern mythology the World tree (Yggdrasil) was said to be an Ash tree.
Occultists see the Ash as "sacred to Poseidon and Wodan. The Ash tree is considered to be the father of trees. Its the tree of sea power, or of the power resident in water". (kind of a "beast out of the sea") The seeds, popularly known as keys or helicopter seeds, are a type of fruit known as a "samara". Which connects again to water (the Samarian woman at the well) and also to graven idols and false images:

Isaiah 44:14,17 "He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it ... And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god."

"Even Maacah, his mother, King Asa removed from being queen mother because she had made an abominable image for Asherah. Asa cut down her image, crushed it, and burned it at the brook Kidron."

"And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of The Lord more than all that were before him. And as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, he took for wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshiped him. He erected an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he built in Samaria. And Ahab made an Asherah. Ahab did more to provoke The Lord, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him." (1 Kings 16:30-33 RSV)" LINK

lady ashton riding the beast?

"BRUSSELS — Seven socialist prime ministers backed the European Union's trade commissioner to be its new foreign policy chief, moving a Thursday summit closer to breaking a stalemate over two freshly created top EU jobs.

Diplomats said Sweden, the summit's host, was nominating Belgian Prime Minister Herman Van Rompuy for the job of EU president. (see my last article)

Both nominations still need the backing of all 27 EU leaders, who were huddled behind closed doors without advisers, to agree on the two posts

Catherine Ashton won backing for the foreign policy job from British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and left-leaning leaders from Spain, Greece, Slovakia, Slovenia, Portugal and Austria, Brown's spokesman Simon Lewis said."

in the meantime...:

"Solana: I am not a revolutionary

When people are tired of you and you are not ready to leave that is not a democracy, believes Javier Solana, who is about to step down as the EU's foreign policy chief in an interview with RT.

RT: Why are you stepping down?

Javier Solana: One thing is that the EU has opened a new page and different stories what individuals do. I am a European and I have been working for the EU … before I was born. But I think I've been working in the position for 15 years and the position had to be changed and people have to be moved and that is healthy for any organization. That is healthy for the countries that we represent. That does not mean that I am going to sleep – I will be working for the same ideals from a different position.

RT: Is there any advice you would give the person who will succeed you?

JS: Yes, I will give them advice. Not in public but in private, whenever I know who he or she is. It's true that the person will have more capacity to represent an EU that will have more visibility after the treaty and more coherence in their actions. At a time when the process of globalization is so obvious, countries by themselves will not have a role to play in a new world structure. Therefore the unity and coherence is fundamental. Not only for the EU – look at Asia for instance, a group of countries which is being modeled institutionally much like the EU. Also in Latin America. The world has to be organized in such a structure that there's global governance in order to tackle global problems..."

the Bilderberg President

candidate for EU presidency: Herman Van Rompuy, source: rtl.info.br

Belgian Prime Minister Herman Van Rompuy, a top candidate for the new European Union president job, laid out his views on future EU financing at a dinner of the secretive Bilderberg group last week.

The setting was the highly symbolic Castle of the Valley of the Duchess, or Chateau de Val-Duchesse, where the EU's founding Treaty of Rome was negotiated in 1957 and later the venue for the first ever European Commission meeting, a former priory on the outskirts of Brussels, on Thursday (12 November), with guests including Belgian industrialist and Bilderberg chairman Etienne Davignon, former US secretary of state Henry Kissinger and luminaries from the worlds of international politics and business, according to Belgian broadsheet De Tijd.

Photobucket

Viscount Etienne Davignon, a discreetly powerful figure in Brussels , was vice-president of the European commission in the 1980s. The viscount currently chairs the Bilderberg Group, the shadowy global freemasonry of politicians and bankers who meet to discuss world affairs in the strictest privacy, spawning innumerable conspiracy theories. Van Rompuy, it seems, attended the Bilderberg session to audition for the European job, calling for a new system of levies to fund the EU and replace the perennial EU budget battles.

The Belgian leader is reported to have said in a speech that: "New resources will be necessary for the financing of the welfare state. Green tax instruments are a possibility, but they are ambiguous: This type of tax will eventually be extinguished. But the possibilities of financial levies at European level must be seriously examined and for the first time the large countries in the union are open to that." ...

Mr Van Rompuy's participation at the Bilderberg dinner will give ammunition to critics of the EU top job selection process, which takes place via confidential consultations between EU leaders and informal social events. LINK

"Van Rompuy is being seen as the Sarkozy-Merkel candidate and there is resentment at a perceived Franco-German stitch up," said a diplomat.

Eyebrows were raised at the Oct 29 summit when President Sarkozy held a private 15-minute long "interview" with Mr Van Rompuy. Later that evening, Chancellor Merkel made a beeline across the summit meeting room for Mr Van Rompuy, the pair then left together for a meeting.

"It was all a bit too obvious," said an official. LINK

Like the Bilderberg meeting last week, Thursday night's summit will also be behind closed doors, as the leaders haggle over the appointment. LINK(also with more from the above news)

time for acciona?

Acciona's CEO Senior Entrecanales (the man right behind Ban ki-Moon - he was the one who presented the "Copenhagen Climate Communique2" to the UN)  (pictures:acciona, LINK)

In my article from October 17 (Link) I showed how much Javier Solana has prepared the groundwork for the Copenhagen Climate Summit and wrote that this may be the basis of a new world order post for him. Recently in Jerusalem he spoke at a conference for sustainable energy.

Now the Spanish newspaper El Mundo reported on Nov 6 that the president of the business group Acciona, José Manuel Entrecanales (Bilderberg attendee 2009), would be closing negotiations with Solana to become its international adviser. Link Officially Solana wants to contribute to the companies expansion in markets like the U.S., Canada, Latin America and Southeast Asia. But him standing so much behind the Copenhagen summit this seems like a bad joke - I guess he will connect ALL the global efforts for Climate Change world governance.

Hispanidad writes: "The social challenges at the international division of Acciona are very right. In the money, no ideology. Solana is a key that opens doors. He knows it. Entrecanales knows it too. Agreement closed." Link

So Acciona working to have the advice of the EU representative is one thing. But it seems that they will not be alone in seeking the services of a figure of much prestige value like Solana.

Sources around Solana told ahead of this newspaper report that "he will be busy a professional activity" when he leaves his post in Brussels. The academic world and research institutes are one of the fields where he had devoted much of his time before, with special emphasis on building bridges between Spain and the U.S.. He also intends to work with Foundations and Centers of International Crisis Management. Sources close to the European head of diplomacy said on Friday that Solana has expressed publicly its objectives and that, for now,  he is focused on doing his job until the end of his term. Therefore, he does not want to comment further about his future after 14 years in Brussels.

ACCIONA Energia is a world leader in the renewables sector. The company has taken on the mission of demonstrating the technical and economic viability of a new energy model on the basis of criteria of sustainability. ACCIONA Energia is present in the main clean energies, in line with their different levels of maturity and profitability. It is also present in other electric power generation technologies based on renewable energy sources -biomass, small hydro and solar-, and also in the manufacture of wind turbines (designed in-house) and the production and marketing of biofuels. It also has assets in the field of cogeneration. Link

As of 2007, Acciona Energy is the largest developer, owner and operator of wind farms in the world, with 164 wind farms in nine countries representing over 4,500 megawatts (MW) of wind power installed or under construction. Acciona Energy is also the developer, owner and operator of Nevada Solar One, the world's first solar thermal plant built in more than 16 years, and the third largest facility of its kind. They have also to plants in Israel. Link

"Army to Build Out 500 MW of Solar in the Mojave - I recently pointed out where the world’s solar hotspots are. No surprise to find the Mojave is among them. So, as Reuters reports here, the US Army is going to build a combined PV and CSP facility, working with Acciona. This is in line with the federal government’s recent mandate to radically lower GHG emissions at its facilities". Link

"ACCIONA has been a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development since 2005; this demonstrates the company’s commitment to the design and implementation of programs with other companies and public bodies in the quest for multilateral solutions aimed at driving sustainable development.

As part of this effort, in June ACCIONA became a member of The Corporate Leaders Group (CLG), an association of thirty UK and European companies whose goal is to voice proposals from the business community in the fight against climate change. The CLG was created under the auspices of HRH Charles, Prince of Wales, as part of the University of Cambridge’s Programme for Industry.

Last month, Acciona chef José Manuel Entrecanales presented UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, with the "Copenhagen Communiqué2, a CLG document on climate change that puts forward specific measures for discussion by political leaders in next December’s COP 15 summit in the Danish capital". LINK

At the same time in November Prince Philip wants to have presented a "Seven Year Plan" for Climate Change under the auspieces of THE ALLIANCE OF RELIGIONS AND CONSERVATION with support fromUnited Nations Development Programme:

Ties that bind

Photobucket

videopic from Prince Charles' "Green Forest Project", Link

Following is part of the text of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s speech, as prepared for delivery, to a Summit of Religious and Secular Leaders on Climate Change, in London Nov.3:

"Together, we must unite to face a momentous global challenge –- minimizing dangerous climate change and making peace with the planet.

I have long believed that when Governments and civil society work toward a common goal, transformational change is possible.

Faiths and religions are a central part of that equation.

Indeed, the world’s faith communities occupy a unique position in discussions on the fate of our planet and the accelerating impacts of climate change.

As a secular organization, the United Nations has no common religion. But, like all the major faiths, we too work on behalf of the disadvantaged and the vulnerable.

We share the same ethical foundation: a belief in the inherent dignity of all individuals.

That is why we work in partnership with Governments, corporations, civil society and faith-based groups.

That is why we support the Alliance of Civilizations, which is fighting extremism and working to improve understanding and cooperation among nations and peoples.

...

You can -- and do -- inspire people to change.

As we take the final steps on our journey to Copenhagen, that inspiration is critical.

I ask each of your faiths and religions to pray for a fair, balanced and effective way forward."

Besides using the same connections between Religion, AoC and Nature Cult he talks about using Ancient Wisdom to unite tradition and modernism in search for the Divine Harmony. In the same year (2006) Prince Charles gave a written lecture at University of Alberta, were he shows how much he get his ideas from Kabbalah:

"This dilemma is captured in ancient notions of balance and harmony; notions that are, for example, expressed in many guises in that wonderful Kabbalistic diagram of the Tree of Life. As the Temenos Fellow, Warren Kenton, so beautifully explains in his lectures to the students of the Academy, the teaching of the Tree of Life is that the “active” and the “passive” aspects of life, which on their own may lead to imbalance and disharmony, must be, can only be, brought together in harmony by the influx into our lives of the Divine and the Sacred. Whether or not we interpret this image as an explanation of an outer or an inner orientation, it is in this way, and only in this way, that the forces, or characteristics, of expansion and constraint can be brought into balance.
But, of course, in both the inner and outer dimensions of our lives, many of us, at present, experience the very imbalance and disharmony that this mystical framework, and, indeed, the teachings of mystics of all times, show to be harmful or, to use a contemporary term, “unsustainable
”"

"US President Barack Obama Tuesday welcomed the ratification of the European Union's reform treaty. "I congratulated them on the conclusion of the Lisbon Treaty, which will further move Europe in the direction of integration not only on economic policy but also on a number of security issues," Obama said after a White House summit with EU leaders.

"I believe that a strengthened and renewed EU will be an even better transatlantic partner with the United States."

Obama met earlier with EU commission chief Jose Manuel Barroso, EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana and Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt, whose country holds the rotating EU presidency" LINK

Solana: "I am very pleased that President Vaclav Klaus has signed the Lisbon Treaty today. All obstacles have now been lifted for the prompt entry into force of a treaty that will open a new era for the European Union. The Lisbon Treaty will enable us to work in a much more coherent and efficient way and give us a stronger voice on the international scene." LINK

"President Barack Obama says he and European leaders agree it is imperative that they redouble efforts to reach a climate deal in Copenhagen in December." LINK

After a CBS report"...Obama was taken aback when each of the leaders had plenty to say – except one:

"Obviously we'll have to give you more training," Mr. Obama said to EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, who said he had "nothing to add" after the president and two EU leaders made substantial statements to reporters.

The president made it clear that's not the way it's done on this side of the Atlantic.

"You should understand that the rule in Washington is: even if you don't have anything to say – you should take a long time to say it," said the president to Solana, with tongue-in-cheek." LINK
